About the Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound ground pork, beef, turkey or chicken
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
14 ounces shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce (or liquid aminos)
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 whole egg
2 teaspoons sriracha sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
Preparation
In a large skillet, brown the protein of choice until cooked through. Drain if there is a lot of moisture left in the pan (some is okay for cooking the cabbage).
Add garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds. Add cabbage/coleslaw mix, soy sauce, ginger and sauté until desired tenderness.
Make a well in the center and add the egg. Scramble until done over low heat.
Stir in sriracha, drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with green onions. Add additional soy sauce and sriracha if desired.
Serve over ramen noodles, rice, or in lettuce cups with chopped peanuts if desired.
